Licenses & attribution
Last updated 23 October 2026
This is a plain-language template for a beta, not legal advice. Have it reviewed before you charge anyone, and replace the bracketed placeholders.
Aurum Studio builds on other people’s work. Here is what we use, under what terms, and what that means for the videos you make. Check each project’s current licence: this page is a summary.
Content ownership
Who owns what: you own your topics, scripts and the output made for you (see the Terms). The stock footage inside a video belongs to its creators and is licensed to you through Pexels; AI-written text may not be protected by copyright; the components below remain their authors’.
Stock footage: Pexels
Clips and photos come from Pexels under the Pexels License: free to use, including commercially, with no attribution required (though crediting creators is appreciated). You may not sell or redistribute them unaltered or on their own, imply that a person or brand endorses your video, or use identifiable people in a misleading way. Where a topic has little video, still photos fill in with a slow zoom. Each clip’s or photo’s page link is kept with your project.
Stock footage: Pixabay
When a Pixabay key is configured, clips and photos are also searched on Pixabay under the Pixabay Content License: free to use, including commercially, with no attribution required (though crediting creators is appreciated). You may not sell or redistribute them unaltered or on their own, or imply that a person or brand endorses your video. We download the files we use instead of linking to them, and each one’s Pixabay page link is kept with your project.
Voice: Kokoro
Speech is produced by the Kokoro text-to-speech model (Apache License 2.0) and its “af_heart” voice, run on our servers. The voice is synthetic; do not present it as a real person.
Fonts: Inter
Captions and this website use the Inter typeface by Rasmus Andersson, licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (OFL).
Writing and understanding: Google Gemini
Scripts, scene plans, captions and ideas are written, and candidate clips checked, with Google’s Gemini API. During the beta this uses the free tier, whose terms allow Google to use submitted content to improve its products: see the Privacy Policy. Output is yours to use, subject to Google’s terms and the Terms of Service.
Software
- FFmpeg (LGPL/GPL) assembles videos; we run it as a separate program.
- spaCy and its English model (MIT) help split text.
- Next.js and React (MIT), FastAPI, PostgreSQL and Supabase run the application.
